Provena is a knowledge base for small and mid-sized offices. Upload documents, scans and images, then ask in Arabic about English sources. The answer comes in your question's language with an exact citation to document, page and line, and quotes stay in their source language. Each client runs in its own container, with the archive in a repository the client owns.
Forty seconds: from scattered files to one answer.
Upload, organise, ask.
Upload your files
Word, PDF, scans, photos and text — one at a time or a whole folder at once. Every file is checked on the way in, and anything suspicious is set aside for a manager.
Let it organise
Each file becomes a clear, well-structured article, filed by topic in an archive your whole team can browse.
Ask
Search answers as you type. Ask a full question, and you get a written answer from your own files, with the page and line behind every point.
Answers you can check.
Every point has its sourceEach statement in an answer points to the page and line in the original document, and the source is checked before the answer reaches you. One click opens the document at that line.
Instant search, as you typeResults appear while you type, each with the line where your words were found. Included in your plan, at no extra cost.
Arabic question, English sourcesAsk in either language, whatever the language of the files; the answer tells you when it translated.
Ask from WhatsAppStaff ask on your organisation's WhatsApp number and get the answer there. A number you have not registered gets nothing.
From inside Word and OutlookSearch the archive from Word and insert a passage with its source in one step. Save an email attachment from Outlook straight into the archive.
Keep the good answersSave any answer as an article in the archive. If a similar one already exists, you are shown it first, so nothing is written twice.
For transparency: WhatsApp messages pass through Meta's servers in the United States. The WhatsApp channel is optional and can be switched off at any time.
Confidential work stays with its team.
Gather a project's documents, articles and discussion in one place, open to everyone or private to the people working on it.
Secret projectsA secret project is invisible to everyone outside it — in search, in answers, in lists and on WhatsApp. Even its name does not show.
A role for every memberThe project manager adds people as editors or readers: editors add and move its documents, readers read.
Discussion on the page itselfComment on any line of a document or any paragraph of an article, and the team sees each comment where it belongs.
The project file, ready to shareExport a project as a PDF on your organisation's letterhead, and as a Word file you can edit.
A budget for every projectSee what each project spends and who spent it, set a budget, and get a warning at 80% and again at 100%.
Secret projects are included in the Team and Organisation plans, and available as an add-on for Individual. Secrecy is enforced inside the system: anyone you give access to your repository can read every file, so keep that access to the people you trust.
Files in, articles out.
The article you needChoose a full article, a summary or a quick reference — or let the system decide. One file at a time, or everything waiting at once.
Scans read tooScanned papers and photographed pages are read in Arabic and English, so old paper archives become searchable.
On your letterheadArticles by topic, with their source and date, ready to edit, print or download — under your organisation's own letterhead.
One list of every fileSee every document you have added, which ones are organised and which are still waiting — and find any of them by name or by a word inside it.
Read any article in the other languageOne button translates an article between Arabic and English, marked as a machine translation. It is saved once beside the article, so no one pays for it twice; citations, file names, page numbers and figures stay as they are.
Protected from booby-trapped files.
A document can hide instructions meant to trick an AI into leaking data or misleading you. Provena is built so those instructions have nothing to work with.
Guaranteed by designThe AI cannot browse the web or open links: its tools run in a sealed environment with no network. It sees nothing outside your archive and never sees your keys. Documents reach it marked as material to read, not as orders to follow.
MeasuredIn 20 real tests with instructions planted inside documents (October 2026), the AI followed none of them.
Suspicious files set asideA file that looks like an attack is isolated and kept out of every answer until a manager reviews it.
Links you can trustA web link in an answer is clickable only when it appears in your own documents; any other link is shown as plain text.
Every question, on record.
A record of every consultation
Who asked, when, the question and the answer — with a fingerprint of each source document, so you can prove it has not changed since.
An activity log no one can quietly alter
Every sign-in, search and change is logged with its time and person. Each entry is sealed to the one before it, and a daily seal is kept in storage you own, so any tampering shows.
Clear spending, no surprises
See what each person and each project has spent on AI, and the running total.
Who can do what
One table of permissions by group, a view of exactly what any colleague can reach, and memberships that end on their own. The founder can never be locked out.
Control over downloads
Staff without download permission read page images marked with their own name and the time.
Yours alone.
A system of your ownEvery organisation gets its own separate system and its own encryption key. No other client shares it or can see your files.
Your files stay yoursYour archive is kept in storage you own, and goes with you whenever you choose.
AI at cost, on your accountThe AI provider bills your own account directly, with no margin from us. And the bill does not grow with your archive: each question reads at most 20 excerpts, however large the archive.

Questions people ask first.
Where are our documents kept?
In a private repository in your name on GitHub, the world's largest code-hosting service, so they stay yours whatever happens. The system itself runs on servers in Germany, on a working copy of that repository.
What does the AI cost?
The AI provider bills your own account at cost, with no margin from us. Browsing and search are included in your plan, and the dashboard shows spending per person and per project.
Can it answer in Arabic from English files?
Yes. Ask in Arabic or English, whatever the language of the sources; the answer tells you when it translated.
Is a secret project hidden from everyone?
Inside the system, yes: whoever is not a member does not see it in search, answers, lists or WhatsApp. The files themselves sit in your repository, so anyone you give access to that repository can read them.
Can it be hosted inside the UAE?
Yes, if your contract requires it: set up before the first file is uploaded, at your cost. Running it on your own servers is not offered at the moment.
